Privacy Policy
On May 25, 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect. In an attempt to comply with GDPR, I have set out a Privacy Policy that discloses how and why my website – Peter Cudek Double Bassists – gathers and holds your personal data when visiting my website. I also disclose how I use that data and tell you how you may withdraw it, should you wish to do so.
1. Gathering of Personal Data
1.1 Cookies
My website was developed using the website building platform Wix. Wix implements a number of Cookies into every website built through its platform. Cookies are text files, often containing a unique identifier consisting of a character string. Cookies are stored on your computer system via the Internet browser you browse with. The stored Cookies are then used to facilitate your smooth browsing of the website.
There are broadly, two types of Cookies – Session and Persistent. Session Cookies are erased when you close your Internet browser. They do not gather information from your computer. They typically store information in the form of a session identification that does not personally identify the user. Persistent cookies are stored on your hard drive until they expire or until you delete them. These cookies are used to collect identifying information about you, such as your web browsing behaviour or user preferences for a specific site.

1.2 Email address
I have included on my website my email address. This is found at the bottom of every page. Should you contact me via this email address, you will in effect be sending me your personal data – Name, Email Address, Message, etc. – to me. In sending this to me, you are giving me your consent to hold that data.
2. Holding of your Personal Data
I will hold your personal data that you submitted through Email safe, secure and private at all times. I will not share that data with any third parties, nor with anyone else.
3. Using of your Personal Data
I would use your personal data to respond to your message. For example, if your message was a simple question, I would answer that question via the email address you provided. Should we form a professional relationship, I would draw from that same data when communicating with you.
In addition to responding to your message and communicating with you with respect to our professional work together, I may also contact you from time to time. My contacting of you would only be related to my work as a Double Bassists.
4. Withdrawing of your Personal Data
You may withdraw your consent to hold and / or use your personal data at any time. You also have the right to request a copy of your data or have your data permanently deleted from my database.
To withdraw your consent, or to request a copy and / or the permanent deletion of your data, please contact me via email (petercudek@yahoo.com), stating your request. Upon receipt of your email, I would first acknowledge your email and then take the necessary steps to meet your request. When all the necessary steps are completed, I would contact you with the outcome.
